Mara has a full bodied and mellow taste. Aged in oak casks for 6-12 months and at least 6 months in the bottle.

80% Nerello Mascalese 20% Nerello cappuccio. Aged 7 months in Slavonium oak casks. Captivating brilliant ruby red colour, delicious bouquet suggests red fruits and spices with hints of blackcurrant, prunes and cinnamon.

100% Montepulciano. Cherries and tobacco on the nose. This wine is rich in tannins and is well bodied.

50% Piedirosso 50% Aglianico. Hand picked grapes aged for 6 months in French oak barrique. Ruby red with characteristic aroma of ripe cherries and liquorice.

50% Merlot 35% Cabenet sauvignon 15% Syrah. Deep ruby in appearance with subtle but visible veins of deeper red. A complex bouquet with evolved aromas of ripe fruit with delicate floral note.
Barolo D.O.C.G 13.5% (Piemonte) – £38.95

Michet, Lampia, Rose and Nebbiolo grapes. Dry, full, robust, austere but velvety and harmonious taste, garnet red colour with characteristic orange tints, more evident as the wine ages; intense bouquet reminiscent of dry roses and violets.
Primitivo di Maduria Luccarelli 2006 14.5% ( Puglia ) – £38.95
100% Primitivo. The resulting wine is a real crowd pleaser with round fruit followed by persistent, faintly spicy finish. It’s light enough to try with pasta, but would love some grilled meat.
Basilico Agliano del Vulture 2006 14% ( Basilicata ) – £48.00
100% Aglianico. Aged 18 months in French barrique and 12 months in the bottle. Produced from late ripening grapes, this ruby red wine has purple nuances. A big powerful structured wine. It has complex aromas of soft fruit reminiscent of plums, blackberries and cherries. Palate is full and rounded with a long finish.
Amarone Valpolicella Classico D.O.C 14.5% ( Veneto ) – £55.00
A blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara partially dried grapes. Refined in Slavonian oak casks further matured in the bottle. Full garnet red in colour with an intense spicy bouquet.
